All odontologists are familiar with electrolytic etching for treating the metallic intrados of superstructures to be stuck on dental surfaces. However, this technique can not be used with all alloys. This study uses SEM slides and surface roughness tests to assess the effects of electrolytic etching on certain alloys for ceramometal.
