Cemento-osseous dysplasia is a non-neoplastic condition in which normal bone architecture is replaced with cementoosseous tissue. It is a benign fibro-osseous lesion of the jaws associated to root apexes and containing amorphous calcifications which would correspond to cementum. Usually asymptomatic, it is often fortuitously discovered during routine radiographic examination. However, an infection can occur and the condition progresses to a symptomatic phase whichmanifests by pain, purulent exudate, fistula formation and sequestration. Diverse radiological characteristics can be observed depending on the attained stage of development; In an absence of infection, clinical management is treatment
abstention and follow-up.
