Coronal degradation of deciduous multicuspid teeth following a carious attack or due to a structural abnormality, has multiple consequences, mainly on arch length preservation, on vertical occlusion, on the guiding of permanent tooth eruption and on maxillofacial growth in general. It is therefore essential to reconstitute their anatomy as best as possible, despite the fact that current materials, even when adhesive, do not always allow this. Pedodontic caps solve this anatomical reconstitution problem. Inserted in one session only, easy to use and cheap, they allow the deciduous multicuspid tooth to fulfil its various functions until its physiological exfoliation.
