Dentists wish avoiding vibration of rotating instruments, achieving optimal qualities of cavity debridement. Of course all this should be done without local anaesthesia to preserve the fragile and phobic patients and with special attention to odontoblast behaviour. CarisolvTM seams to be the answer to this request. The study population in this article being very small, we still have to remain careful even though we have not observed any undesirables side effects (pulp necrosis, caries recurrence under fillings) within one year. This product is very interesting for paediatric dentistry, simple to use, reassuring for the children, avoiding local anaesthesia, providing anti septic effects through chemical action. The CarisolvTM should be more widely used in general dental practice.
