If prevention and minimally invasive procedures must always be envisaged in first intention treatments of occlusal dysfunctions (Lussi 2006), there are nevertheless clinical situations in which a reconstruction of occlusal surfaces is necessary to restore the altered functions, and/or prevent an aggravation of the degradation process (Loomans et al., 2017).
