In 1934, the COSTEN's syndrome already evoked the existence of a link between TMJ disorders and multiple cranial-cervicalfacial repercussions. Later, many posture specialists started to describe numerous so-called postural disorders and suggested to manage the manducatory apparatus dysfunctions in a global therapeutic approach. Specific notions of posturology as well as relevant postural tests can help the practitioner to detect the occlusion/posture relationship and to adapt the therapeutic plan. However, this matter is still being discussed, particularly because there is no systematic connection and no recommendation in Evidence Based Medicine.
