New surgical techniques and in particular the use of microanastomosed flap have radically modified the care management of prosthetic rehabilitations in patients after carcinological surgery. For maxillo-facial prostheses, new forms of prostheses care during the reconstructions by microanastomosed flaps have been introduced. Surgical stents are a new tool managed and prepared by the dentist allowing to guide, model, maintain or protect the results obtained from surgery.
