It's by face that the feelings are expressed and communication is established between humans.
Maxilla surgical defects can negatively affect patient's functions, esthetics and psychological wellbeing.
The objective of this article is, after citing various complications of maxillectomy, and discussing the different methods and materials used, to insist on the absolute need for the early management by construction an immediate obturator prosthesis which is prepared preoperatively and inserted during or at the latest the firsts days after surgical treatment, when a good coordination between the surgical team and the practitioner is possible.
