Perception of preventive measures to avoid viral transmission in odontology
The infectious risk of HIV, HBV, and HCV does exist and is taken into account for by appropriate protocols of hygiene and asepsis. A plethora of literature is available concerning hygiene and the prevention of the transmission of infectious diseases. From this, a progress report has been released on the current state of knowledge of viral disease transmission during dental care, epidemiology of viral risks, legal aspects, and transmission prevention guidelines.
