The approach of children in a dental surgery requires an understanding of those involved : the practitioner, the child and the parents. This article reviews various ways of improving the practitioner's relationship with children : practical suggestions to lighten the surgery's atmosphere, the importance of well mastered acts and speech, recommendations for a better management of the relationship with the child in the chair.
