Carcinoma of the floor of the mouth.
As carcinoma of the floor of the mouth is visible to the naked eye, it is usually detected early which may explain its rather favourable prognosis. Treatment is surgical and/or radiological with of whithout chemotherapy. In such cases, the odontologist's role lies in early dectection and assistance with treatment.
